Different Types of Poker Hands
Poker hands are ranked based on the combination of cards a player holds. The highest-ranking hand is the Royal Flush, which consists of the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten of the same suit. This is followed by the Straight Flush, which is any five consecutive cards of the same suit. The next in line is the Four of a Kind, which includes four cards of the same rank.Other notable hands include the Full House, which is a combination of three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank. The Flush consists of any five cards of the same suit, but not in sequence. A Straight is five consecutive cards of mixed suits, while Three of a Kind includes three cards of the same rank. Two Pair consists of two different pairs, and One Pair is simply two cards of the same rank. The lowest hand is the High Card, where no other hand is made, and the highest card determines the winner.
Understanding these hand rankings is crucial for success in poker, as it helps players make informed decisions during gameplay.
