Baccarat Instructions: Understanding the Game
Baccarat is a popular card game often played in casinos. The objective is to bet on which hand, the Player or the Banker, will have a total closest to 9. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, Aces count as 1, and 10s and face cards are worth 0. If the total exceeds 9, only the last digit is considered. For example, a hand with 7 and 8 totals 15, but the score is 5. The game starts with two cards dealt to each hand, and based on specific rules, a third card may be drawn. Bets can be placed on Player, Banker, or Tie. The Banker bet usually has a lower house edge, but a commission is charged on wins. Practice and understanding the rules can improve your chances.
