Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s legal battle has taken a sudden, unexpected turn after heated arguments in court.

The Jane the Virgin star seems to be at a tricky point in the case, since he stands to lose the $400M lawsuit.  

Although the dismissal of his lawsuit is not the end of Lively’s harassment and smear campaign lawsuit, Baldoni seems to have taken a hit to his integrity in the main lawsuit as well.  

Social media users were quick to side with either of the parties after the latest update, many slamming Baldoni and his supporters for portraying the Gossip Girl star in a negative light.

One such social media sleuth expressed, “I need everyone to be loud cause yall swore he was the biggest victim in Hollywood,” while another echoed, “it\“s really funny that this isn\“t everywhere but if the reverse was the case all the major media outlet will be all over it.”

Many quoted Taylor Swift’s lyrics from Cassandra, writing, “When the truth comes out it’s quiet.”

Others chimed in, writing, “I don’t see multiple news articles slamming Justin now… they were so quick to shame Blake,” and “The way he used every fraud and tactic to win this case - even trying to drag her friends like Taylor and still ended up losing. Karma works in mysterious ways.”

However, one X user addressed the hate train against Baldoni, and clarified, “Y\“all do realize that the one that ACTUAL matters is the lawsuit of se-ual harassment filed by Blake Lively is still going on? So the character defamation lawsuit doesn’t mean anything as long as he wins against the main case.”

Although many in the discussion seemed convinced that the It Ends With Us director will have to pay the $400M he filed the defamation lawsuit for, as per the latest update, Baldoni does not need to pay the amount, since the case has been officially dismissed by the judge.
