Michael Jackson biopic\“s first teaser out: Watch now

The first teaser trailer for the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, has been released, giving fans a glimpse of Jaafar Jackson\“s portrayal of his uncle, the King of Pop.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film promises to take audiences on a journey through Michael\“s life, from his early days as a child star to his rise as a global icon.   Advertisement

The trailer shows Jaafar Jackson recreating Michael\“s iconic performances, including his signature choreography and style. The film\“s cast includes Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Kat Graham as Diana Ross, and Miles Teller as John Branca.

“I want to find their humanity, I want to find their heart and their humor,“ Colman Domingo said about his approach to playing Joe Jackson. “It may go against public opinion sometimes, but I think that\“s my responsibility to find the complex version of these people.“

Antoine Fuqua praised Jaafar Jackson\“s performance, saying, “There was such a spiritual connection when I first met Jaafar, who has a natural ability to emulate Michael and such a great chemistry with the camera.“

Miles Teller, who plays John Branca, said, “Michael is one of the greatest to ever do it, if not the greatest. He deserves a movie, and I\“m excited to be a part of it.“

Michael is set to hit theaters on April 24, 2026, and promises to be a cinematic event that will explore the life and legacy of one of music\“s most iconic figures.
