Mia Gosling shared details about her work experience on the set of Star Wars: Starfighter.

In an interview with Elle, Goth who is currently in production process of Shawn Levy’s project admitted that the movie is testing her skills in a whole new way.

“It’s really intense, but I love it. I’m being pushed in a way that I’ve never been pushed before,“ she said. “This is a completely separate film, not a prequel. It’s its own thing, with new characters. And it’s a great script, a really great script.“

Previously, Levy also gushed about the actress while explaining the reason behind casting her in the film.

“We needed a singular actor to play a fiercely complex new character within the Star Wars galaxy. Mia is a unicorn of an actress,“ he said. “It’s not like you could ever say, ‘We need a Mia Goth type,’ because there is no type. There’s just Mia.“

The plot details have not been revealed, but the stand-alone movie is set roughly five years after the events of 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: Starfighter is slated for release on May 28, 2027.
