Gold prices witnessed a sudden surge both internationally and in Pakistan on Tuesday.
In the international bullion market, gold jumped $69 per ounce, reaching $4,140 per ounce.
Spot gold rose 0.6% to $4,132.89 per ounce as of 0950 GMT, after hitting a record high of $4,179.48 earlier in the session.

In local markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola surged by Rs 6,900, taking it to a new record of Rs 435,100 per tola.
Similarly, gold per 10 grams increased by Rs 5,916 to a record Rs 373,028.
