 Prince Andrew’s ultimate punishment looms as King Charles left ‘shocked’ by appalling move
Prince Andrew’s disgrace looms over the royal family like a dark cloud and does not show any signs of moving away.
The Duke of York had been stripped off of his royal titles and patronages already but a stricter action is being demanded of the King following his latest blow.
Andrew had claimed that he cut off all ties with convicted paedophile Jeffery Epstein in December 2010, as per 2019 interview with Emily Maitlis at Newsnight.
King Charles’s brother had self-sabotaged himself during the interview but making absurd claims and later had to make an out-of-settlement with Virginia Guiffre, the most vocal Andrew and Epstein accuser.
In the latest bid, the Telegraph reported that Andrew had sent an email to the financier on February 28, 2011 – one day after the infamous photo of him with the then-17-year-old Virginia emerged.
“I’m just as concerned for you! Don’t worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it,” he wrote in the email. “Otherwise keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon!!!!”
While concluding his message, he used royal titles, “A, HRH The Duke of York, KG.”
The King had already told Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson to “uninvite” themselves from the annual Christmas gathering. Now, since there are no more options left, royal experts suggest that Andrew should collect whatever is left of him and leave the UK.
“King Charles will be shocked by his brother’s sheer brass neck but no longer surprised,“ royal editor Matt Wilkinson wrote in The Sun.
He noted that Andrew once claimed visiting Epstein in New York was the “honourable and right thing to do”.
Matt suggested, “If he has an honourable bone in his own body, he should leave the country.”
Although it remains to be seen what steps would the King be taking next, since there are no more punishments left except for forced banishments. |
