The 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL) fifth edition featured six teams competing from February 20 to March 22. The tournament was held across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan, showcasing Pakistan\“s passion for cricket.
Karachi Kings emerged as champions after defeating Lahore Qalandars in the final at National Stadium Karachi. This edition marked a significant milestone as all 34 matches were played in Pakistan, reflecting improved security and growing international confidence in the country\“s ability to host major sporting events.
The PSL schedule was carefully designed to accommodate both day and night matches, with most games starting at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM PST. The league stage ran from February 20 to March 15, followed by playoffs and the final. Each team played 10 matches during the round-robin stage, with the top four qualifying for the knockout phase.
Local culture was prominently displayed throughout the tournament.
