Prince William, Princess Kate receive heartfelt message from Jordanian royals
Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have been actively attending to royal business before they enter to the next phase in their life, held an important meeting at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
The future King and Queen welcomed Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein and his wife Princess Rajwa for the first time after the happy couple welcomed their first child, daughter named Princess Iman bint Hussein.
The two couples share close ties and their relationship is also significant in maintaining strong diplomatic ties between the two nations.
William and Hussein, both of whom have served as helicopter pilots for their respective nations, had carried out a joint engagement as they visited RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. They met the training staff and spoke to RAF personnel about their roles on site and experiences on deployment.
Following the visit, the two, alongside with their wives, got together at Windsor in a pleasant meeting. Kensington Palace had shared glimpses of their meet-up.
In response, the heir to the Jordan throne shared a message for the British royals.
“It was a pleasure for Rajwa and myself to meet Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales at Windsor Castle today,” he wrote. “And an honour to join His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales on a visit to RAF Benson to learn more about its training programs.”
Prince Hussein had also shared video footage of their meeting at Windsor where he and Princess Rajwa were given a tour before they settled in for a tea. The four royals were then left alone, away from the camera, to continue their private discussion.
William and Kate then escorted them to their cars as they headed back. |
