Princess Anne in red cropped jacket
Princess Anne is unbothered by the growing storm surrounding her younger brother, proving why she’s the monarchy’s most steadfast workhorse.
The Princess Royal stepped out on 21st October for a double duty day coolly carrying on with her royal responsibilities as questions continue to swirl around Prince Andrew’s public future. Advertisement
Anne began her day in Derby, where she marked the 70th anniversary of the Leylands Estate a 10-acre gated community for retired retail workers first opened by her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in 1955.
Ever the picture of composure and commitment, the Princess chatted warmly with residents, honouring her mother’s legacy while celebrating the estate’s milestone.
Later in the afternoon, she travelled to London to visit the newly revamped New Scotland Yard Crime Museum, maintaining her trademark focus and composure amid the ongoing royal turbulence.
She wore a cropped red jacket that has been a faithful fixture in her wardrobe since 2022.
Three years ago while presenting the Princess Royal Training Awards at London’s Banqueting House. Back then, she paired it with a burgundy skirt and classic leather gloves.
Fast forward to her latest engagement at New Scotland Yard, and the Princess gave the look a fresh twist, teaming the same jacket with sleek black trousers and block heel shoes.
And for those who’ve followed her wardrobe closely, Anne’s winter love affair with red is nothing new.
Earlier this year, at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival, she turned heads once again in a striking scarlet longline coat, finished with a black faux fur hat, tasselled boots, and a printed scarf. |
