Keir Starmer applauds Charles’ bold move

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has thrown his full support behind King Charles’s bold and history making decision to strip Andrew of his remaining royal titles.

The Prime Minister’s office confirmed the government’s backing, calling the move a powerful statement of accountability from the monarch.  Advertisement

“We fully support the decision taken by the Palace,” a Downing Street spokesman said.

“Our hearts go out to the family of Virginia Giuffre and all the victims who suffered from Jeffrey Epstein’s despicable crimes.”

The statement echoed Buckingham Palace’s own message of sympathy and solidarity with survivors a sharp contrast to the silence that once surrounded the Duke of York’s scandals.

The King’s decision marks a defining moment in the monarchy’s modern evolution, as he draws a clear line between royal privilege and public accountability.

Andrew, now simply Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has been ordered to vacate Royal Lodge, his sprawling Windsor estate, following explosive new allegations that he shared his accuser’s personal information in an effort to discredit her.

Palace insiders say the move was “inevitable” after years of mounting controversy and reputational damage.

With the King taking a zero tolerance stance and the Prime Minister publicly backing him, one thing is certain this royal chapter has well and truly closed, and there’s no going back for the Duke.
