Jonathan Bailey crowned Sexiest Man Alive 2025: ‘Honour of a lifetime’
Jonathan Bailey had a hard time staying quiet about his latest achievement.
The Bridgerton heartthrob admitted it wasn’t easy to hide the news about being crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025 but no one seemed to suspect it. Advertisement
During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, November 3, the 37-year-old British actor was asked if it was difficult to keep the new achievement under wraps before its big reveal.
“Surprisingly not,“ he replied, explaining that people weren’t really asking him, like, “Are you?“
However, the Wicked star confessed that he did let the secret slip to a few friends before the major announcement, though they didn’t exactly believed him. 
“I went away with some friends just before [the Wicked Press Tour]to get a bit of pal time and we went out and we had a few drinks and I was like, guess what I was like, I\“m the sexiest man alive And they were like, yeah, yeah Do your affirmations,“ he recalled.
Although the Fellow Travelers actor leaked the news, good thing his friends didn’t take him seriously, otherwise the big surprise might’ve been ruined.
Bailey added that because of a strict nondisclosure agreement, he had to keep the news private even from those closest to him.
In another interview, he shared that friends who knew him long before his acting fame would probably be disappointed and might even give him a hard time for not giving them a heads-up. |
