Princess Anne earned praise for her wise gesture, which kept King Charles and Queen Camilla out of controversy.
The Princess Royal recently visited Singapore to mark 60 years of diplomatic ties between the United Kingdom and the Asian country.
During one of the engagements at the National Orchid Garden, a plant named after the King and Queen was placed beside a plant honouring the late Princess Diana.
“If she [Anne] had views on the questionable \“orchid diplomacy\“ of a plant named after the King and Queen positioned alongside another named after Diana, Princess of Wales, she kept them to herself,“ The Times reported.
Earlier, in a statement released by Buckingham Palace, it was revealed that during Princess Anne and her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence\“s time in the country, they “attended Audiences with the President and with the Prime Minister of Singapore and visited Kranji War Memorial.“
“The Princess also unveiled the new potted orchid, ‘Delphinium Anne’, and heard about the manufacturing facilities on the Rolls-Royce Seletar Campus.“
It is not the first time Princess Anne has made her brother proud with her dedication to the betterment of the monarchy.
To recognise her sincere efforts, King Charles paid a meaningful tribute to his sister on her 75th birthday by unveiling a coin featuring her photo. |
