 Princess Charlene turns charity duty Into masterclass in cold weather elegance
Princess Charlene of Monaco has once again proved she’s the reigning monarch of neutral dressing and she did it with winter flair.
Stepping out on 14 November alongside Prince Albert, the Princess royal brought a masterclass in understated elegance to Monte Carlo as the couple took part in the annual Red Cross parcel distribution.
The event, held at the charity’s headquarters, provides support to Monaco’s most vulnerable residents, a tradition Prince Albert has championed for four decades as president of the Monaco Red Cross.
Charlene, born in Zimbabwe and now a global style muse, looked every inch the winter fashion icon.
She wrapped herself in a sumptuous stone toned wool coat, complete with an oversized collar and a hip skimming cut that could walk straight off a runway.
But the real scene stealer in her neutral outfit were her shoes. According to Royal Fashion Daily, the princess slipped into Roger Vivier’s ‘Gommettine Bicolour Lacquered Buckle Off White Leather Ballerinas.’
With their pointed toe, signature resin buckle stamped with the chic ‘RV’ monogram, and a dainty little heel, the flats brought a polished, Parisian edge to her winter look.
And this wasn\“t her only ballerina moment of late. Just days earlier, the princess channelled her inner prima ballerina at Collège Charles III, where she congratulated students who designed the winning jersey for Monaco’s U16 rugby team.
She arrived wearing not just style, but technique in the form of a faultlessly executed ballerina bun.
Celebrity hairstylist Jason Collier, with over two decades of experience, couldn’t help but applaud.
“It’s sleek without looking severe, that’s what gives it that timeless, regal quality,” he told us.
