 The Weeknd makes new record following in Taylor Swift and Coldplay\“s footsteps
The Weeknd is truly in his Starboy era as he achieved a new record with his After Hours Til Dawn tour, which began in 2022.
The 35-year-old R&B singer now holds the top rank as the male solo artist with the top-earning tour.
The Save Your Tears hitmaker has generated more than $1 billion with his tour, selling over 7.5 million tickets across 153 shows, including the upcoming scheduled shows for 2026.
While the 4-time-Grammy winner is the only male solo artist with this record, he is only behind Coldplay and Taylor Swift’s tours to hold the record among all tours.
The Call Out My Name singer has added his new milestone to the list of his achievements with this tour, including the 2023 record in the Guinness Book of World Records for “The Most Popular Artist in the World,” and his famous single Blinding Lights turning RIAA-certified diamond, as well as the No.1 Billboard Hot 100 song of all time.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, will get on the stage for two more shows this year and resume with the next leg on April 20 in Mexico City. |
