 Chappell Roan reveals emotional reason behind touring again
Chappell Roan made a heartfelt confession about why she couldn\“t stay off tour, Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things, which began on May 30.
During her concert at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in L.A, the Good Luck, Babe! singer delivered an emotional speech about why she decided to perform again this year.
In an video clip shared by a fan, the Grammy winner explained that she spent last year “questioning“ why she was putting herself through doing shows. However, she recently had a change of heart.
“I wasn’t gonna do a U.S. tour until the very last minute, I decided to do one, and I’m so glad I did. It’s so fun. This job is so awesome. Thank you for making it awesome,“ she told the crowd.
“Everything made sense this year: Why I do this. Last year, I was really questioning, ‘Why am I doing this to myself? I’m so sad. I feel so left out in public. I feel so awkward all the time.’ And I always felt like, \“Why am I putting myself through this? If this feels so, if this is taking so much away from me, what is this for?\““ she continued.
“The only thing that matters anymore is joy to me. And protecting that, and peace and safety,“ she added. “So I hope you know that when you are here, you are safe, and I want you here, you can be whoever you are tonight.“
Roan then expressed her gratitude to all her fans saying, “This is the biggest headline show I’ve ever had. So thank you.“
Roan’s series of pop-up shows in New York, L.A. and Kansas City are an extension of the Vision of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things Tour, was concluded on October 11 in Los Angeles. |
