Prince William, Kate make big change in plans after security upgrade
Prince William and Kate Middleton taking important steps for their family as they move to Forest Lodge gets a major update.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, who were expected to move out of their Adelaide Cottage near Christmas, have now changed their plan after a Home Office-agreed security cordon in a 150-acre area surrounding the new home has been put in place.
New accelerated plans have revealed that the William and Kate, along with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis – will be moving into Forest Lodge by November 5.
In a report by The Daily Mail’s Rebecca English, builders had been working around the clock to meet the new deadline and now that the work has been finalised, their move is “imminent”.
Workers have been moving their belonging to the eight-bedroom mansion. “It is hoped they will be in the new home in time for Bonfire Night,” an insider told the outlet. “That will make a fun start for the children.”
The Wales family has previously lived in Kensington Palace apartment before they moved to Adelaide Cottage in Great Windsor Park. The couple hopes that Forest Lodge will now be their ‘forever home’ even after William ascends to the throne.
William and Kate had initially planned to stay at Adelaide for longer but the home is now haunted by unpleasant memories, including going through the difficult cancer diagnosis of Princess Catherine.
The future King and Queen hope to give their children a “fresh start” especially now George is at an age when his official training as the future monarch will begin, as royal protocols get stricter for heirs at the age of 12. |
