King Charles marks special milestone with hearfelt message

King Charles took time and extended warm wishes for a meaningful cause despite the ongoing tensions in the royal family.

According to countrypress.co.uk, Sight for Wight, a charity for visually impaired Islanders, marked 50 years of reading the news on October 10.

The initiative is dedicated to providing information and support to visually impaired Islanders and their families.

For half a century, Sight for the Wight has provided Islanders with no sight, a reading service. The idea originated with a blind man from Niton, Geoffrey Smith, who wanted the Isle of Wight County Press to be accessible to everyone.

The CEO of Sight for Wight, JD Viette, expressed gratitude towards the charity\“s staff and volunteers, as with their efforts, they are marking a big milestone.

King Charles joined the celebrations as his secretary sent a message on his behalf to the charity.

He sent “heartfelt, warmest good wishes to all those who have contributed to this publication.“

It is pertinent to note that the monarch\“s message came amid Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson\“s email scandal.

For the unversed, the Duke and Duchess of York showcased their sympathies to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, mounting pressure on the King to ban the former working royals from all kinds of public-facing duties.
