The 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was held from May 28 to July 16 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The main event attracted 8,569 entrants, creating a prize pool of $80,548,600. German poker professional Hossein Ensan emerged as the champion, winning $10,000,000 and the prestigious WSOP bracelet.
Notable achievements from the series included Phil Hellmuth winning his record-extending 16th bracelet in the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship. Daniel Negreanu also had a strong series, making multiple final tables and finishing second in the $100,000 High Roller event.
The 2019 WSOP featured 90 bracelet events across various poker variants including Texas Hold\“em, Omaha, Seven Card Stud, and mixed games. The series saw numerous records broken and memorable moments created throughout its seven-week run. |
