In Pakistan, both bridge and poker have gained popularity among different segments of society, but they are perceived quite differently within the local cultural context.

Bridge is generally viewed as a sophisticated intellectual game, often played in social clubs and among educated elites. It is considered a respectable pastime that requires strategic thinking and partnership skills. Many Pakistani bridge tournaments are organized in major cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Poker, however, faces more cultural resistance due to its association with gambling, which is prohibited in Islamic teachings. While underground poker games exist in some urban areas, the game is not widely accepted in mainstream Pakistani society. The religious and cultural norms make public poker playing relatively rare compared to other countries.

Both games reflect the complex relationship between traditional values and modern entertainment in Pakistan, where certain Western influences are embraced while others are modified or rejected based on local cultural and religious considerations.
