Razz poker is a popular variant of stud poker where the goal is to make the lowest possible five-card hand. Unlike traditional poker games, in Razz the best hand is A-2-3-4-5, known as the wheel.
The game begins with each player receiving two face-down cards and one face-up card. The player with the highest face-up card must make a forced bet called the bring-in. Betting then continues clockwise around the table.
After the first betting round, each remaining player receives another face-up card. This continues for three more rounds with additional face-up cards, followed by a final face-down card. There are betting rounds after each new card is dealt.
In Razz, straights and flushes don\“t count against your hand, and aces are always low. The best possible hand is A-2-3-4-5, regardless of suits. |
